| Description: | 94 pts James Suckling Intense carmenere aromas of crushed dark berries and cherries with dried flowers that follow through to a medium to full body with firm, silky tannins and a racy finish. Drink or hold. 90 pts Vinous The 2019 Carménère Cuvée Alexandre is blended with 12% Syrah and aged for 16 months in 10% new barrels. Purple in hue. The ripe aromatic profile features blackberry jam plus herb and white pepper notes over dried leaves. The palate is voluminous and expansive with a diminished freshness to which the tannins offer a little depth. A pleasant wine. Drinking window: 2022 - 2027 |
