| Description: | On the surface this is a crisp and pretty rose with delicate aromas, a soft mouthfeel and crisp acidity that is very complex for a rosé, but for the nerds out there, it is like an iceberg. Sourced from the Shop Vineyard in Carneros the Pinot Noir is picked early to make direct press rosé, after the second pick for red Pinot Noir, a little saignée is blended in along with some Gamay à la passetoutgrain. This technique seems to add depth and layers of flavor. |
