Description: | Grape Varieties: Corvinone 40%, Corvina 30%, Rondinella 15%, other grape varieties 15%. Vineyard: The grapes are selected from Brigaldara's best vineyards in both the Classica and Valpolicella DOC areas. Training system: Guyot and Pergola veronese. Harvest period: The grapes are harvested by hand from the middle of October. Wine Making: The must is left to macerate during the fermentation with two daily pumping overs and delestage half-way through fermentation. Aging: 3 anni in barriques e 2 anni in botti di rovere da 25 hL. Alc. content: 17.5%. Tasting Notes:. The wine is a deep garnet red with aromas of fruity jam, spices, cherries, black cherries, some notes developed from the drying process including tobacco and cocoa. It is a full bodied wine which is complex, elegant and velvety. |
