Luigi Giordano Barbaresco Montestefano

Vintage: 2010
Description: the Montestefano sub-zone within the comune of this cru is located in the village of Barbaresco he wine ages for at least 18- 24 months in large oak. Beautiful bouquet of dried rose petals, truffle notes to the red cherry fruit, red licorice spice, minty/herbal notes coming out on the second day but still very fruity and seductive, liqueur like fruit. Very lush and fruity on the tongue wtih surprisingly smooth tannins but this wine is still a baby with a firm hand of acidity holding things in place with lots of everything, the tannins actually firming up as this wine opens proving that it needs some time in the cellar, 2010 is a classic vintage and you should keep these wines 10+ years in the cellar.
