| Description: | 90+ pts Wine Advocate Issue # 214 Aug 2014 The 2013 Chardonnay has a nose of honeydew, ripe nectarines and poached pears with a toasty undercurrent. Medium-bodied, it fills the palate with lively melon and peachy flavors with a suggestion of creaminess to the texture and a good long finish. Drink it now to 2018. 92 pts Vinous March 2016 Pale gold. A highly expressive bouquet evokes fresh orange, pear, fig, white flowers and smoky lees, with a mineral nuance adding urgency. On the palate, potent orchard fruit and citrus zest flavors pick up a deeper smoky element with aeration. Nicely combines power and finesse and closes very long and taut, with lingering mineral and honeysuckle qualities. 90 pts Wine Spectator 6/15/15 Lithe and open-textured, with green apple accents to the pineapple and floral flavors, finishing with a hint of passion fruit. Lingers gently. |
