| Description: | Limited Edition Nilgiris Gin is aged in a combination of Peated and Unpeated Amrut casks for a short period, enough to accentuate the intrinsic flavors of the original Nilgiris Gin and also deliver a dynamic influence of the casks. This limited-edition gin was handcrafted using imported and locally sourced botanicals. The finished spirit was then matured in ex-bourbon casks with the final maturation in a combination of peated and unpeated Amrut casks for a few months, the same casks that produce Amrut's award-winning whiskies. Next, the gin from all the casks was blended so the flavors of the original gin and that derived from the oak could combine for a rich, uniform profile. The gin has been married for almost as many months as it was matured, to create a depth of flavor that would make the gin versatile. This is a gin for mixologists, aficionados and amateurs alike. |
