| Description: | This wine is the Jackson Families first fourey into the South African wine and Graham Weerts from Stonestreet is from South Africa and wanted to go back to make a wine from the Finbosch Vineyard, non malo and 45% new oak here this wine has a beautiful bouquet of flinty mineral like aromas, bacon fat, lemon drop candy fruit and fresh floral notes very complex bouquet. A big chardonnay with lots of everything in proportion. Finish 50+ The first time I tasted thsi wine the flinty sulphur aroma was a bit off putting the second day this bottle seems to be much better the second day with impeccable balance. Excellent +. |
