2018 Leeuwin Art Series Shiraz

Description: Winemaker Notes\r\n\r\n\r\nDense, dark and intense nose, rich with blueberries, mulberries and plums. Further complexing notes of black pepper, mushroom and gameiness increase the bandwidth on the nose. Capacity, dimension, and texture outline the palate. A matrix of blueberries and redcurrants feature through a background of dark chocolate, cracked coffee bean and tobacco. A wine filled with an obvious energy. Bouncy and chewy, the tannins are woven into the fruit. Fruit, oak, acid and tannins are integrated and elegant, showing cohesion and harmony from the get-go. Cool-climate elegance is the lasting impression of this wine, as is the fine, chalky tannin profile that ultimately carries the fruit over the course of the palate. Very detailed.
