| Description: | Strauss, Samling 88 Classic, Scheurebe, Steiermark, Austria, 2015 100% Scheurebe Floral, Mango & Guava, Hints Of Thyme Samling 88 (better known as Scheurebe) is a grape which was produced in 1916 through Dr. Georg Scheu's crossing of Riesling and Silvaner. The resultant wines are aromatic, tropical, and slightly herbaceous. Showing mango, guava, and hints of thyme wrapped up in a light, very vibrant package, this is a favorite for those who like wines with exotic flavors. At only 10.5% alcohol, it goes down very easily and stays refreshing and bright. Serving Suggestions: Grilled chicken skewers w/ pineapple. Spicy okra in tomato sauce. Baked pork w/ a mango & jalapeño glaze. |
