This old estate, in the sunny Arno River valley below Florence, belonged to nobility for centuries until it was sold to Ferruccio Ferragamo, son of the eponymous fashion company's founder. Throughout the 1990s, he and his son, Salvatore, took up a restoration project to bring the estate back to life, while preserving its history. Today the winery is the state of the art for producing modern expressions that maintain the fingerprints of this old, wild land. In line with the family's fashion business, their beautiful property serves as a top-class resort amongst the sustainably farmed vines, olive trees and vegetable gardens, whose produce you'll find at the restaurants.
