| Description: | Vincent Boyer, at the helm of his family's historic Domaine Boyer-Martenot in Meursault since 2002, is renowned for crafting wines of elegance, purity, and class. His close friend Emmanuel Lucas de Bar, whom he met in winemaking school, brings a unique element to their partnership with his family's organically farmed vineyards in the Hérault valley, a site steeped in history dating back to a 12th-century monastery. In 2018, the two joined forces to create Boyer de Bar, combining Emmanuel's meticulously cared-for vineyards with Vincent's expertise as a grower and winemaker. Their mission was straightforward: produce affordable, delicious wines from organically grown fruit, vinified with the same precision and care as Vincent's top Meursaults. The grapes are hand-harvested, and except for the Sauvignon Blanc (fermented in stainless steel), all wines undergo fermentation with indigenous yeasts and 20 months of élevage, mirroring the regimen of Meursault Perrières. This approach, typically reserved for Burgundy's elite wines, results in terroir-driven expressions that are both accessible and extraordinary.
