Crafted to be a true expression of terroir from our hillside vines and Jory soil, this wine is made from a low yield crop that is dry-farmed for quality and comprised a variety of clones.\r\nThe nose is rich with mushroom, truffle, and forest floor, accompanied by black cherry, cranberry, \u00a0and clove. The palate reflects the cranberry, black cherry and truffle, but also introduces a dash of black pepper with medium tannins and acidity on the finish.\r\nFood Pairing - This wine pairs beautifully with the bounty of Oregon, like wild mushroom risotto or grilled lamb with an herbed, hazelnut crust.\r\n\r\nAbout Sokol Blosser Winery\r\nWhen our parents Susan Sokol and Bill Blosser planted their first vines in the Dundee Hills AVA (American Viticultural Area) of the Willamette Valley 1971, they needed all of their youthful self-confidence, energy and determination to make their way because, at the time, there was no wine industry in Oregon. Today, with over 700 wineries and more than 30,000 acres of planted vineyards, Oregon has grown exponentially and its wines are available throughout the world.
