Description: | Established in 2002 by owner and winemaker Eric Sussman, Radio-Coteau stands as a beacon of fine winemaking in California's Sonoma County. In the summer of 2012, Radio-Coteau expanded its footprint by acquiring an historic 42-acre Estate vineyard and ranch located on a ridgetop above Occidental. Originally known as Joseph Morelli & Sons before Prohibition, the Lemorel winery, dating back to 1892, boasts diverse agroecosystems settled on prized Goldridge soil. Maintaining established blocks of Syrah and old-vine Zinfandel, the property has been enhanced with recent plantings of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling. Eric's connection with the property dates back to the early 2000s, when he scouted for vineyard sites for the first Radio-Coteau vintage. Captivated by old dry-farmed Zinfandel, he forged a relationship with Robert Von Weidlich, the owner at the time. The collaboration resulted in the 2002 Radio-Coteau Von Weidlich |
