Old Parr Scotch 12 Years Old
| Description: | Grand Old Parr 12 Year Old Scotch old Parr is a deluxe blend in a square, crackled brown glass bottle with Cragganmore malt at its heart. The core 12-year-old was described by whisky writer Dave Broom as having a chewy well-balanced palate with Sherried notes of orange, nutmeg, wine gums and vanilla on the nose. The whisky is named after Thomas Parr, an Englishman who was reputedly the oldest man to ever live. He was allegedly born in 1483 and died in 1635, which would have made him 152 years of age when he passed away. He was known as 'Old Parr' and his remains are buried in Westminster Abbey in London. The whisky first appeared on the market in 1909. |
