| Description: | Dominique Lafon is on a very short list of the world's greatest winemakers. While most famous for his legendary Meursault at Comtes Lafon, he has also been making wines under his eponymous label since 2008. Dominique uses the Comtes Lafon vineyard team and handles much of the winemaking himself, showcasing his precise, deeply textured style at more approachable price-points. This bottling comes from a 0.3 hectare plot in Meursault, which is farmed biodynamically, and aged for 18 months in barrel before bottling. It shows the richness of the '22 vintage as well as the focus and complexity that Dominique's whites are famous for. 2022 is the last vintage for this wine since the lease on the plot has expired. #lafon |
