| Description: | Gran Duque d'Alba XO is a lissome and glorious illustration of Brandy de Jerez. This tremendous brandy is aged in casks that previously held Sherry in a closely monitored Solera system where the youngest brandy is 18 years old, and the final casks are the legendary Don Guido Pedro Ximenez. The aromas are filled with baked custard, caramel, sherry, honey, subtle spices, cocoa, plum and fig that are pensively evocative. The mouth feel is a mellow, debonair lineament with gratuitous, sumptuous flavors that show ebullient caramelized honey, raisins, nuts, cocoa, vanilla, plums and brown figs that linger. All of these conflate uniformly and deliberately dissipate in a suave, sylphlike finish signifying that this is a genuinely outstanding brandy. Try it neat with time to enjoy. |
