| Description: | "Bambino" comes from a ten-acre block planted on Old Hill in 1998. This young-vine field blend is patterned after the ancient vine field-blend for which Old Hill is known. Seventy-eight percent Zinfandel, eleven percent Petite Sirah, five percent Alicante Bouchet and six percent a mix of Syrah, Grenache and Carignane. Fermentations are relatively long, a result of the use of indigenous yeast without any nutrient additions. Pressing occurred after fifteen days on the skins. |
