| Description: | A truly unique wine from Cyprus. A blend of two indigenous varietals, Xynisteri and Mavro, the grapes are harvested late and then dried in the sun before pressing. The resulting syrup-like juice is allowed to ferment spontaneously in wooden vats before being aged for a minimum of two years in a solera system. The resulting wine is amber-colored, with an intense nose of sweet dried plums, fig, honey, sweet spice, vanilla and toasted nuts. Rich and concentrated on the palate, but with enough acidity to balance the sugar and keep it lively. Fascinating and delicious. – Abv: 15% |
