| Description: | 4 ½ Stars 2023 Platter's South African Wine Guide Exudes variety's floral, peach charm though still delightfully zesty & balanced, courtesy picking at different ripeness levels & 8% roussanne in improved 22 (92 pts). Less viscous, cleaner texture though similar vinification to 21 (91 pts). Combo stainless steel, concrete ‘egg' & barrel, 4 months on lees. 92 pts Tim Atkin MW 2023 Reynie Oosthuizen uses grapes from three areas in Stellenbosch to craft this well-judged assemblage of Viognier and 8% Roussanne. Elegant and understated, with less alcohol than many 2022 whites, the palate combines cream, apricot and citrus flavours with a twist of aniseed. 2023-27 |
