Description: | Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 93+ Points - "Made from 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, the 2019 Gravura is impressive in the glass and offers plenty of plush dark red and black fruit aromas with hints of oak. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is complex, layered and ripe, showcasing a parade of plum and blackberry flavors followed by lifted red and purple flowers followed by a delightful mineral tension and fine-grained tannins. The long-lingering and persistent finish somersault between flavors of popcorn kernel, black plum and dark cherry skin. The wine rested for 20 months in 50% new French oak. 6,324 bottles were made. Bravo, it's a well-made and delightful wine.". Antonio Galloni's Vinous Media 93 Points - "It's hard to fathom that the 2019 Gravura is the 10th-anniversary edition of this bottling, which blends 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. The nose is refined, showing really good range thanks to red bell pepper, anise and crème de cassis tones and underpinnings of espresso grounds. The palate is fresh, polished and exceedingly well balanced, displaying good concentration and flavor density alongside a brilliant sensation of finesse. Finishing very long, this is exceedingly a good wine for the price. Cheers to Chris Peterson and Marty Taucher on their success.". Jeb Dunnuck 93 Points - "The 2019 Gravura from this talented winemaker checks in as 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. It has wonderfully pure cassis and darker berry fruits as well as textbook graphite, tobacco, and lead pencil-like nuances. I love its purity, it's medium to full-bodied, has silky yet building tannins, and a great finish. This beautiful wine will cruise for 15 years if stored correctly.". Wine Spectator 93 Points - "Sleek and multilayered, with expressive black cherry, bitter chocolate and dusky spice flavors that build toward refined tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2030. 527 cases made." |
