| Description: | Blend of Grenache, Shiraz, Gordo (Muscat of Alexandria), Zinfandel, Mataro (Mouvedre), Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Aromas of dark chocolate, mocha, caramel, stewed fruits, and light florals. The flavors meld together in an oxidative way which change depending on temperature. Further expanding on the palate is a chocolate liquor like Kalua, vanilla, plum, figs, black cherry, dried bramble fruits with a long caramel, chocolate liquor finish. This is medium sweet crafted in a tawny port style that has been steeped in a special blend of 100% dark chocolate. Fragrance and expressions are much lighter when served cool. Sweetness balanced with acidity, tannins at medium and of fine grain, pronounced intensity of flavors. |
