| Description: | What to do when the weather is warming but you're a red wine drinker? Find the right wine, like this Zingari from Petra! This is a zen wine, balanced and harmonious, made from 25% each of the following grapes: Syrah, Merlot, Sangiovese and Petit Verdot. It has great palate weight and viscosity but is not a heavy wine; the structure (fine tannins and elegant acidity) is ample enough to enjoy with traditional barbecue fare and other summer delights but won't slow you down during the daytime. The nose is rife with both red and dark fruits, florals, rose garden and loamy soil with a generous dollop of spice box. In the mouth, the fruits continues as the firm but elegant tannins keep it from becoming cloying. Notes of red plum, black cherries and persimmon are augmented by a mineral touch and more notes of spice. |
