| Description: | To create Chapoutier's "Varonniers" Syrah, the estate has chosen their oldest Crozes-Hermitage vines (more than 60 years old on average). The color is a deep garnet red. It has very ripe red fruits on the nose, blackcurrant, raspberry and liquorice. The wine has ample and solid vanilla and jam on the finish. Depending on the vintage, this wine can be kept from 30 to 60 years or from 50 to 75 years. |
