| Description: | The flagship wine of Piaggia consist of 70% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Merlot grown in organic soils of clay and galestro. A traditional wine made in a little bit more a modern style with the use of barriques for 18 months of barrel aging before 6 months in the bottle. The wine is a deep ruby color with ripe fruits of cassis, raspberry, tobacco, chocolate, and sweet spices. There is plenty of aging ability for this bottle. |
