Lafage Narassa Cotes Catalanes Red Blend Rated 91WA

Description: | Wine Advocate Review. Rated 91. A blend of 82% Grenache and 18% Syrah, the 2019 Igp Cotes Catalanes Narassa spent 15 months in a 50-50 mix of tank and demi-muids (15% new). Black cherries and blueberries mingle easily on the nose, joined by hints of maple syrup and licorice. Full-bodied, velvety and super-ripe, it comes across as almost sweet on the lingering finish. Personally, I'd serve it late in the meal, perhaps alongside a well-aged Parmiggiano or similar cheese. Drink 2021-2025. Wine Tasting Notes. For centuries, the Agly valley, northwst of Perpignan the capital of Roussillon, was famed for making the finest desert wines of France. These black slate soils and ancient vines twisted by the sun and the reletless tramontane wind have been rediscovered for their ability to produce rich dry wines. The dark fruit flavors of Narassa pairs perfectly with beef or lamb, stewed or grilled. Grenache, Syrah. Alcohol 14.0% |
