| Description: | Pale yellow color with green highlights. Intense, lifted nose with citrus, gooseberry and a touch of nettles. The palate is fine with refreshing acidity and a long, clean citrus finish. Lees aging in stainless-steel tanks for four months after completed fermentation added texture and length. This wine will complement all types of seafood and shellfish. Wine maker notes Mount Nelson Sauvignon Blanc enjoys the best of bot h worlds - old and new. The wonderful rich Marlborough fruit is gently restrained by Lodovico and his winemaker, to display a delightful minerality with perfect structure. Such is the delicacy of Mount Nelson, it goes perfectly with Sushi, as well as the more classic pairings of seafood, particularly oysters. |
