Description: | 91 points Wine Enthusiast. This youthful approachable wine has 15% Petite Sirah and tiny amounts of other varieties like Malbec, Mourvèdre and Montepulciano. Aged in French, American and Hungarian oak, it offers grip and oak around tart, rounded flavors of cranberry, strawberry and orange. (vb) (8/2020) 90 points Wine Spectator. Zesty and bright, with fresh and jammy raspberry and sweet spice flavors that linger on a succulent finish. (tf) (8/2020) Connoisseurs Guide. Juicy, ripe berry fruit sits at center stage here, and, while the wine may not wow with its intensity or its layered complexity, its fruity persistence earns it easy endorsement all the same. It is moderately full in body with a trim bit of tannin and nicely fit acidity lending firmness, but, even if balanced to keep handily for several years, it delivers lots of upfront appeal right now and is a well-defined Zinfandel that is as pleasing as it is priceworthy. *Good Value* (7/2020). |
