| Description: | War Honey is a 13.5 % Abv semi-sweet mead using Arizona wildflower honey, is aged on citra and simcoe hops, and organic Arizona lemon zest. Tasting Notes: Gold in color, still, light body. A nose of crisp citrus and perfumy hops dominate with hints of grapefruit and herbal grassiness. On the palate, initial lemon rind and floral hops quickly lend to a complex, earthy body with notes of light caramel, vanilla, and tobacco. Bright acidity, beloved hops, and refreshing citrus make this mead stand out boldly. Pairs well with fish tacos, fettucine alfredo, green papaya salad, lightly breaded chicken in a lemon caper sauce, fresh salad greens. |
