Meyer, Stefan Pfalz Kerner Feinherb

Vintage: 2021
Description: An exuberant rendition of Alto Adige's favorite white, but from Germany's Pfalz. Kerner is a crossing of Riesling and Schiava, Alto Adige's favorite light red or Vernatsch/Trollinger as it's know in Germany. Kerner was actually not created in Alto Adige but in Wurttemberg Germany in the 20s. At one point in the 90s, Kerner was the third most planted grape in Germany after Riesling and Muller Thurgau! Ebullient citrus, white flowers and ginger waft from the glass whilst minty herbaceousness, limeade and grapefruit pop on the palate. An all round harbinger of spring around the corner, with vibrant acidity and an ever so faint prickle, this is sure to put a smile on your lips! Giselle Hamburg
