Moulin de Duhart (750ML)

Moulin de Duhart (750ML)

From Pauillac

Vintage: 2022
Description: 93-94 JS / 91-93 Jd / 90-92 Wi / 91 De / 90 Ja. Such beautiful blackberry, chocolate and hazelnut character here. It's medium-bodied with juicy fruit and a succulent finish. All here for the second wine. 87% merlot and 13% cabernet sauvignon. - James Suckling. A blend of 87% Merlot and 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2022 Moulin De Duhart has a gorgeous nose of ripe black cherries, tobacco, and earth. It's medium-bodied, with plenty of richness, fine tannins, and a great finish. It's going to offer pleasure right out of the gate yet still have 10-15 years of overall longevity. - Jeb Dunnuck. Made from 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Merlot, the 2022 Duhart-Milon is deep garnet-purple in color. It rocks up with ready-to-impress notes of warm cassis, blackberry preserves, and menthol, followed by hints of cinnamon stick, rose oil, and fallen leaves. The medium-bodied palate is chock full of lively black berry and minty flavors, framed by grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and lifted. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Independent. Cool, ripe and fragranced blackcurrants, flowers, liquorice and some stalky edges on the nose. Juicy and succulent, a great level of acidity keeps the energy and liveliness with serious but well-integrated tannins and a sleek frame. Direct, streamlined with appealing acidity, fruit concentration, spice and freshness. Really quite charming and will be easy to drink still with a touch of Pauillac power. Unfussy, with a good balance and weight with clear herbal, wood, clove and tobacco edges on the long finish. Harvest 31 August - 28 September. - Georgina Hindle, Decanter. Inky plum, this is packed with cassis and bilberry fruits, serious tannic architecture, tobacco leaf and sandalwood edging, with a wall of black pepper and rosemary spice on the finish. 15.5% press wine used, the most to date. Duhart Milon vineyard is looking at lowering density of planting because it can be extremely dry, so more challenging in these kind of years. - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux.
