| Description: | The Paul Prieur Estate is currently run by his sons Didier and Luc, overseeing the vineyards, including the 4 hectares of Pinot Noir on the clay-limestone soils. The wine is vinified up to 50% whole cluster, then aged in 50% wooden tank and older barrel for roughly 15 months. This process keeps the wine fresh and fruity with black cherries, pomegranates, plums, herbs, crushed gravel and dusty blackberries. If more Sancerre Rouge were of this caliber, more Pinot Noir would be planted in the region. |
