| Description: | One of the most exciting wines coming from Tenerife (Canary Islands), Suertes Del Marques farms very old, ungrafted, pre-phyloxera vines that are braided along steep slopes. They practice a very natural approach to winemaking with excellent results. The Vidonia is 100% Listn Blanco from 150+ years old vines that grow at an altitude of 1,100-1,700 feet on volcanic soil. It is a really delicious, nicely complex, unique white wine that you should get to know. ".this wine is both mineral and high-toned, while also showing plump rich fruit. Floral, almost exotic aromatics are present in the nose and lead into a mineral based, highly tense wine with bracing acidity. Very long & persistent." - Beaune Imports. Wine Advocate 96 Points - "The Listn Blanco 2021 Vidonia was produced with Listn Blanco grapes from centenary vines in Las Suertes, La Florida and La Mocana on clay soils in the Orotava. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in used 500-liter oak barrels and 2,500-liter oak foudres, where it matured for 11 months. It has 12.8% alcohol, a low pH of 3.03 and 6.54 grams of acidity. This is fresh, balanced and elegant, expressive, clean and open. The wine is volcanic but not reduced, with great finesse in the palate. 12,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2022." |
