Bouchard Meursault Genevrieres 1er Cru

Description: | Jasper Morris 92 - 94 Points - "Pale lemon colour. This is discreet at first on the nose, but classic Genevrires delicacy and intricacy develops on the palate, all lightly washed in a citrus juice. The oak speaks a little but is well integrated. Not a massive wine but all nicely in place. Drink from 2026-2032.". Decanter 93 Points - "There are lovely grapefruit aromas here with accents of chamomile, butter, and spice. The texture is fresh and very fine, enlivened by a delightful, lightly bitter note that gives it depth and substance. The grapes from the domaine-owned vines in both the upper and the lower parts of the vineyard bring complexity, and the use of no more than 20% new casks for ageing helps safeguard the purity of the fruit. This wine should open in a few years and will doubtless drink well for another twenty." |
