Distilled by Glen Grant in 1972, this whisky had no idea that one day it would be sitting in a luxurious decanter, held by a Tantalus made from the cask which aged the whisky for 41 years. Sometimes life deals you a good card, especially if you're a great whisky. This release was bottled by Duncan Taylor. Tasting Notes,. Nose: chocolates, marzipan and cherries. In addition, a clear but positive wood note. Orange and grapefruit. In addition, a certain spice with tobacco, liquorice and aniseed. Palate: pepper and a slight ginger spiciness, salt and with it bitter fruit juices. Over time, this is then turned into black tea that has been washed down with lemon.
