| Description: | History: We are the only distillery who use Mt. Fuji snowmelt water in all processes of production. This water takes a 50-year journey from the peak of the mountain to the aquifer underneath the distillery, filtered and polished by Mother nature it is pure and soft. We refer to it as the precious gift. Our Master Blender Jota Tanaka is an Icon of Whisky Award Winner 2017, with 30 years of experience in the industry in Japan and the US, and only the second Master Blender in our 50-year history. Nose: Fuji has a very inviting nose. Its bold and confident but not overpowering, somewhere between a Rye and Brandy. Youll get notes of apple, banana, pears joined with baked fruits, cinnamon and liquorice. Palate: The whiskey has a soft mouthfeel. There is more orange on the palate. The sweetness is joined by subtle spices, cinnamon, bitter chocolate, and some rye bread. There are estery, ripe fruit notes. Finish: The finish is medium. It starts sweet and then moves towards woodiness, incense and finally a homey rye bread feeling. |
