| Description: | Cerro Chapeau's Reserva Chardonnay is pale yellow in color with a viscous aspect in the glass. Its aromas are intense and layered, wafting towards you with apple, melon, and mango intermixed with toasted almonds and honey. The palate is bright and balanced, presenting flavors of apple, pineapple, and pear on a medium body with a lingering finish. 60% of this Chardonnay fermented and aged in French oak barrels before being combined with the 40% that was vinified in tank. Cerro Chapeu is a family-run estate winery established in 1981 as a grape vine nursery. They are located in northeastern Uruguay, on the border with Brazil. Complement this Chardonnay with foods that have toasty flavors, such as toasted nuts, pastry crust, and grilled corn on the cob with butter. |
