Description: | • 100% Pinot Noir. • Abbey Harris Vineyard (Anderson Valley). • This two-acre vineyard site at 900 to 1100 feet, facing south above the town of Boonville. • Wolfey-Bearwallow complex soil. • Half the vineyard has very pale, sandy soils mixed with pink quartz & the other half has more organic matter as well as large shale outcroppings. • Cooled by the Pacific to the west, every afternoon there are breezes coming from the ocean helping to moderate temperature for even ripening. • Wines from this site tend to show savory, spice influenced with a more pronounced tannic structure. • 50% whole cluster. • 3-week native yeast fermentation with daily punch-downs. • Aged 12 months in French oak (30% new). • 25 ppm SO2 at bottling. • 13.5% abv. • 180 cases produced |
