Description: | 93 pts Tim Atkin MW Made with fruit grown on soils with a high percentage of clay, this is another very impressive red from Ricardo Rivadeneira and Rodrigo Romero. Partnering Cabernet Sauvignon with 6% Cabernet Franc, 3% Carmenère and 1% Petit Verdot, this has plenty of grip and texture for a wine at this price, with blackcurrant and blueberry fruit, subtle oak influence and supporting acidity. 92 pts James Suckling Blackcurrants, stewed strawberries, grilled herbs, chocolate and oyster shell on the nose. It's medium-to full-bodied with sleek, fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity. Supple and smooth with a flavorful finish. Drink now or hold. 90 pts Wine Advocate The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is balsamic and harmonious, with good ripeness and moderate acidity that makes it come through as balanced and soft. The tannins are fine and they finish dry. 82,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2020. |
