| Description: | Massive frothing head with clinging lace all the way down, bright and clear mahogany hue. Smells of dried dark fruit, candied fruit, chalky yeast, pineapple, caramel, wild flowers and clove. Sizable crispness with a fluffy medium body. Slight medicinal and bandaid flavor runs into tones of dusty clove and chalky yeast. Maltiness throws toasted grain, caramel and a ghost-like burnt malt at the palate. Hops show up but are lots in the creative chaos. Slight vinous higher alcohol twang middle to end, like a weak red table wine. Ends on a sweet note with some clove and phenolic action, soft but present. Love it when American brewers get Belgian right. Holy Sheet is one of those seasonals that has a bit of shelf life as well being 9.0% abv but it drinks very well when fresh |
