This exhibits classic tobacco leaf, crème de cassis, forest floor, Christmas fruitcake, cedarwood and a touch of new saddle leather. It is full-bodied, powerful, rich, concentrated and yet soft enough to drink now or be cellared for another 15-20 years. Rated 93 by Vinous Media The 2014 Contrarian is deep, powerful and fleshy, with a good core of fruit and terrific overall balance. The mid-weight style of the year comes through in a relatively soft wine that will drink well with minimal cellaring.
