Tribaut-Schloesser Brut Origine NV (750ML)
From Champagne
Description: | 90 Ws / 90 JS / 16.5 Jr. The refined texture sets the pace for lemon, apple and bread dough flavors in this firm, elegant bubbly, which is dry in style, with an austerity that begs food. There's nice balance and length. Drink now through 2012. 16,000 cases made. - Bs, Wine Spectator. A pleasant, zippy champagne with dried and fresh apple and hints of mineral and bread-dough character. Medium-fine bead and good acidity. Drink now. - James Suckling. Intense citrus with a salt-and-quinine crystalline bite to the fore, then a surprising softness on the mid palate, like white stone fruit. Lots of frothy mouth-filling bubbles – quite a textural contrast to the Brut Premier Cru. The minerality comes back on the finish to lengthen and refine. (tc) - JancisRobinson.com. |
