NV Laurent-Perrier Brut Rose

NV Laurent-Perrier Brut Rose

Description: The Nv Cuvee Rose is unique in terms of its history, the way it is made, and the design of its bottle. Prior to 1968, making non-vintage rose champagne was virtually unthinkable. It was in the midst of a cultural revolution that the visionary Bernard de Nonancourt gave it its credentials. This daring wine combines real structure with freshness and a soft, vinous character. When Bernard de Nonancourt launched Laurent-Perrier Nv Cuvee Rose in 1968, he decided to present his creation in a uniquely distinctive bottle to magnify this very special cuvee. He found his inspiration in the rather stubby bottles manufactured in the time of King Henri Iv, adding the seal-like monogrammed ‘lp' shield. The packaging, which seemed very modern at the time, has gradually evolved since 1968. Subtle, forthright, and very fresh on the nose, Cuvee Rose Laurent-Perrier suggests a basket of fresh small berry fruits: strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, blackberries, redcurrants, and morello and black cherries. The palate is lively and well-rounded, structured and fresh, with a gently-rounded, delicate finish.
