| Description: | Through sheer ambition, progressive thinking, advertising campaigns, and wide distribution in Italy and, eventually, beyond, the Meletti name became synonymous with the highest quality authentic Italian liqueurs. For the first time, the company's bitter apéritivo liqueur is available stateside. Reminiscent of Campari, the spirit is a combination of three distillates produced from sweet oranges, bitter oranges, and a spice and herb infusion blended together and proofed to 25% ABV. Citrus dominates the nose and opening flavors on the palate while the herbaceous underbelly shows its teeth on the mid-palate all the way through the finish. Notes include watermelon, Valencia orange, menthol, hibiscus, sorrel tea, apple cores, and lemon thyme. |
