| Description: | Located across from Gruaud Larose in St. Julien, this Cabernet-based estate has vines averaging 25 years and is a superb value in Haut-Medoc. The Lanessan vineyard has belonged to a succession of eight generations of the Bouteiller family and is one of the oldest estates in Bordeaux. This estate covers more than 350 hectares, including 85 hectares of vines, planted to 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. Look for a multilayered, elegant nose with lovely structure on the palate, fleshy tannins and a long finish. |
