| Description: | 93 Wa / 93 JS. The 2020 Bernkasteler Badstube Kabinett offers an aromatic bouquet of fully ripe fruit and crushed stones. Round and mouth-filling on the palate, this is a hedonistic Kabinett with very fine, mineral acidity. Just a dessert on its own. 8% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from Ap 26 21 in July 2022. --sr, The Wine Advocate. Bright nose of apples, white peaches and spring flowers with a touch of blackcurrant. Ripe, yet very sleek and straight, this is barely off-dry, thanks to the very crisp acidity at the super-refreshing finish. Drink or hold.--James Suckling. 8% Abv. Vintage 2020 started with a mild winter, but also some good humidity. Budbreak and flowering happened early in April / June and summer continued through September. Overall, this vintage had more sunshine hours than ever. Harvest began on 17th of September and ended on 21st of October, rendering healthy grapes with moderate sugar levels and good acidity. All Prädikate from Kabinett to Tba were harvested and quantities were better than in 2019. |
