Ixsir Blanc Altitudes

Ixsir Blanc Altitudes

Muscat Blanc A Petits Grains,Sauvignon B

Vintage: 2018
Description: ~ Winemaker's Notes Muscat, Viognier, Sauvignon and Semillon (finished wine, but not bottled). A touch of sulphur at this stage that blows off to reveal powerful aromatics, the Muscat and Viognier adding lots of Spring flower top notes, some waxy and passionfruit character coming through and some herby, green notes. The palate has a rich texture, with the Muscat full and dry, the Sauvignon (though only 15%) adding lots of punch and the Viognier adding palate weight and texture. A very impressive, modern wine and punchy too. Producer The vision behind Ixsir is to reveal the best terroirs of Lebanon, some forgotten long since. Established by friends with a common passion for both wine and Lebanon, Ixsir is the culmination of their dream in creating a fine wine that will forever be associated with their fatherland. The wines of Ixsir blend rich varieties of grapes cultivated from carefully selected terroirs that symbolize the diversity of Lebanon. Spread from Batroun in the North, to Jezzine in the South, and the hillsides of the Bekaa Valley in the East, these selectively chosen vineyards embody the best terroirs the country has to offer.Winemaking and aging occur in a winery above which rests the Seigniorial House. Located on the hills of Batroun, this 17th century bastion of regional heritage presides over a contemporary winery with sustainability at its core. It unites the Earth's resources to give birth to wines that reveal the secret that lies within.
