| Description: | Here too there is just enough wood to merit mentioning framing the notably ripe aromas of poached plum, black cherry liqueur and a whiff of mocha. The refined, pure and elegant medium-bodied flavors possess a lovely texture while exuding a subtle minerality on the lingering, balanced and sappy finish. This powerful yet refined effort should age well on its balance. Burghound 91-93. Really intense rich dark purple black. This is absolutely massive. Black fruit blockbuster with a few red fruit notes at the back and good acidity. It does not taste cooked, just rather massive and needing time. 75% new wood which he thinks works well here. Tasted: November 2021 Jasper Morris 91-94. The 2020 Corton Grand Cru Grandes Lolières reveals notions of dark berries, plums, vanilla pod and spices, followed by a full-bodied, rich and velvety palate with a generous core of fruit that's framed by powdery tannins and lively acids.
