Nose: a sweet, honey forward, baking spice machine that's loaded with orange peel, sweet butterscotch, a touch of pound cake, confectioners, a zip of pepper and that fruity sweetness I often find in Russell's Rye. Palate: it's a subtler combination of sweetness, light and pleasant tannin, and lovely fruits. Orange peel, brown sugar, caramels and a long, decadent finish see this rare find out. There's no herbal mintiness, dill or vinegar notes, it's all maple and lovely orange and clove on its way out of town. |
