Barrell Whiskey Infinite Barrel Project

Barrell Whiskey Infinite Barrel Project

Description: Barrell Infinite Barrel Project WhiskeyAn "infinity" bottle is a whiskey blend made up of small portions of different whiskeys in an attempt to create a unique taste. Barrell has taken this process to the next level with their Infinite Barrel Project, a blend of seven different whiskeys. Barrell's blending skills set this apart from the typical infinity bottle. They add and remove portions of whiskey and replace it with other barrels to complement the remaining blend. No two batches will be the same, and the first batch is bottled at 119.3 proof. The Infinite Barrel Project is a whiskey geeks infinity bottle on a larger scale. According to Barrell Craft Spirits, The intent is to create an ever-changing whiskey blended from barrels of mature whiskey. We began by selecting barrels for their flavor contribution and complexity and blending them in a larger single, or Infinite vessel. At each bottling, well remove a portion of that whiskey and replace it with other barrels that will complement the remaining blend. We'll then repeat the process - bottling a portion and adding newly selected whiskeys each time.Unlike a solera process, which strives for consistency over time and blends within a series of cascading barrels, the end goal of the Infinite Barrel Project is to create a unique whiskey with each release. With the Infinite Barrel Project, many whiskey barrels, or fractions of barrels, are combined into a single vessel. The tradition of keeping an infinity bottle is well known to whiskey collectors and aficionados around the world. Take the last ounces of each whiskey bottle as you finish it, and pour them into a bottle youve set aside.Barrell Craft Spirits is honoring the Infinity bottle tradition in our own way by introducing the Infinite Barrel Project.
