Dominique Lafon Meursault (750ML)
From Meursault
Vintage: | 2019 |
---|---|
Description: | 90-92 Jm / 88-90+ Wa / 89 Bh. Made from what Dominique calls La Petite Montagne, vines rented from the commune of Meursault. Pale lemon yellow, a lightly reductive nose, certainly not the explosion of ripe fruit of some 2019s. Surprising weight of fruit here, really charming long finish, touch of sucrosity, happy wine. Tasted: October 2020-Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy. The 2019 Meursault Village exhibits aromas of pear, clear honey, fresh bread and citrus zest. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and chiseled, it's bright and mineral. This derives from the stony soils of Chaumes de Narvaux.-William Kelley, The Wine Advocate. Note: from Chaumes de Narvaux. Tasting note: A very Meursault nose reflects notes of grilled nuts, acacia blossom, citrus as well as hints of pear and apple compote. The succulent, rich and discreetly mineral-infused flavors possess very good intensity on the clean, dry and balanced finale. This could use more depth but there is enough development potential such that more should eventually emerge. Outstanding. –Allen Meadows, Burghound. |
